Urban Camouflage

Camouflage

The effect of Camouflage is caused through provoking a sensoric conflict, the creation of counter-sense to the daily perception of our surroundings. That counter-sense blocks the routine of pattern recognition our brains perform to interpret the world. Object borders start to blur, the emerging vagueness establishes new thoughts, allows for free associations.

Habitation

In my architectural project not the object itself is camouflaged, but its function “Habitation”, like established in the european modern architecture. Functional links are being broken, differentiated and rearranged. The Composition of the  functions coming in existence still contains the old concept. But an interstitial  shadow of a new concept of living arises…

Space

The blurred borders condense to a series of broken walls, switching from one state to the other. Solid walls change to glass surfaces to solid walls again, the spatial borders can’t be read anambiguous.
